[Research] Healthcare Needs of Hispanic Community in New York City

US Hispanics are constantly searching for reliable sources of health care information in Spanish.  It is an opportunity for both hospitals and healthcare insurers, since educating the community about diseases can be accompanied by treatment and how they can protect themselves with insurance coverage.

According to The State of Latino Families in New York 2011, 25% of Hispanic Children in NYC are obese, and obesity leads to:

  • Heart disease
  • Diabetes
